Thank you for signing up for RBC Race for the Kids Jersey.


By taking part, you are supporting our new charity partner for 2021, Durrell. Funds raised will go towards Durrell's Future Conservationist Programme, supporting young people taking their first steps in a career to helping save endangered wildlife, whilst promoting positive youth mental health and wellbeing. You are also joining the more than 290,000 people who have run in one of the 17 global RBC Race for the Kids events so far.

Getting to Waterfront Gardens

Pay and display parking is available in the area including Waterfront underground, Les Jardins and Sand Street Carparks. However, there are limited spaces so we advise you arrive by public transport or on foot where possible.

At Waterfront Gardens

Please see the Route map  for a map of Waterfront Gardens, the RBC Race for the Kids route and Fan Zone. The event will start and finish at Waterfront Gardens, near to the entrance of Aqua Splash, this will be clearly signposted. You will also find the Fan Zone here where there is food, drink and entertainment available before and after the race.

Start line information

On registering for the event, we asked you how you would be completing the course and you have selected one of the following options:

  • I will be running

  • I will be jogging

  • I will be walking

  • I will be taking part with children/ wheel chair/push chair

We will encourage participants from each wave to make their way to the start line based on these categories. This will help us get everybody over the start line as quickly and safely as possible. Please listen carefully to the MC announcements.

Runner number and t-shirt

Your runner number and t-shirt are in your race pack. Please pin your runner number to the front of your t-shirt with a safety pin in each corner so it is clearly visible. Please make sure you complete the requested safety information on the back of this number before you arrive. 


In order to mitigate the risk of COVID infection, we have decided to split the Race start into 3 smaller waves this year.


All participants will be allocated a start time on registration for the event - either Blue, Red or Green, which will also be the colour of your race number. For anybody that registered before Monday 6th September, you will automatically be allocated to the blue wave. Participants are asked to not arrive at the event until their allocated time, to reduce the numbers on site at any one time and ensure we can maintain a safe capacity within the Fan Zone.

If you require a different size on collection please speak to the team and If we have other sizes available, we will exchange your t-shirt for you.

Changing facilities

There are no changing facilities at the event so please arrive ready to race.

Toilet facilities

There will be toilet facilities just outside the entrance to the Fan Zone.

Children’s wristbands

Children and infant packs include a blue  wristband. Please write your parent/guardian/ responsible adult’s name and phone number on this wristband and ensure it is worn throughout the event. In the unlikely situation your child is lost at the event, the event management team can call this number to locate the parent/guardian/responsible adult quickly and easily.

Water stations

The entire Super League Weekend is going to be a single use plastic free event. With this in mind there is a complimentary biodegradable reusable water bottle in this pack. Please fill this up and bring it with you to the event. There will be a water bottle filling station in the Fan Zone to refill your bottle.


Food and drink will be available to purchase in the Fan Zone.

Baggage storage

There is no baggage facility at the event, we therefore ask that you keep your belongings with you at all times or leave them with any friends and family who are spectating.

Information point

There is an information point just inside the entrance to the Fan Zone in Waterfront Gardens. Volunteers here should be able to  answer any questions you might have.


We are hoping to take some great photos on the day and will have professional photographers attending. These photos may be used by the charity and RBC to thank those involved in the RBC Race for the Kids and other promotional materials, including the  website. By taking part in this event, you are agreeing to the use of these photos as stated in the terms and conditions. If you do not want your photograph taken, please inform the photographer on the day.

Meeting points

We would suggest the information point (as above) is a good spot to agree as a meeting point.


It is important that we keep Jersey clean. Please put all litter in the bins provided or take it home with you.

Important information

Children and guests participating in, and attending this event remain the responsibility of the primary carer at all times. Children under 16 years of age on the event day must have parental consent to participate and be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please note that you are taking part in this event at your own risk and should ensure you are able to participate safely.

COVID safety

Although many of the legal restrictions for this event have been removed, we are looking to implement a number of best practice safety measures to further reduce the risk of COVID transmission while bringing crowds and participants together.


Please do your bit by taking a lateral flow test prior to arrival and staying at home if you have any of the recognised COVID symptoms or feel at all unwell.
